  • IP has gained center stage and has attained more focus, more attention and is a subject matter of discussion between government, institutions, industries under various regimes and protocol that are put in place to ensure that the world in which we live, where knowledge and innovation are the engines of development and growth. In that world, those who have the creative minds and ability should feel assured that not only their efforts have been duly recognized but it is secured in a specified manner
  • It is also important to promote intellectual property licensing practices, particularly, with a view to foster creativity, innovation and the transfer and dissemination of technology to developing countries and least developed countries. India should share its IP for the 5 betterment of other nations as done in the past. There has to be both free transfer of technology which will address the challenge of climate change and also transfer of recourses to poor countries.
  • Enforcement of IP rights is another major area which deserves serious mention in the policy. There should be effective enforcement of the IP laws so that the issues of piracy and counterfeits which results in huge losses to various industries can be mitigated.
  • Hence capacity building activities must be carried out with vigor to enhance the IP enforcement in the country and to make India a destination for international IP Filings.

Work Station Area:

  • Collection of Milk from various sectors.
  • Testing of Milk.
  • Pasteurization of Milk.
  • Storage of Milk in tanks.
  • Producing of milk products such as Paneer, Curds and Milk in name of NANDINI.
  • Liquid milk is converted into Milk powder.
  • Testing of final product of milk produced.
  • Packing process.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :
The process involves collection of milk from various sectors of Village, Town and City. All the collected milk is supplied to K M F and testing process is carried to know the flat, quality of milk. Based on quality of milk is divided. Milk is pasteurized less than 100*c and stored in large tanks (1000 to 6000 lit. of tank). According to the requirement milk is used to produce the product like PANEER, CURDS, CHOCOLATES …, if excess of liquid milk remains then it is converted in milk powder. After the product produced testing is carried out to know the quality of the product. Finally, the entire product is packed by automated machines in some cases peoples also used for tool exchanges, shifting of finished product, to shift the operation carried on machine, to place the product correctly.

Description :

This industry makes cookies, crackers, ice cream cones, and similar bakery products. Major companies in the US include Kellogg’s US Snacks Division, Mondelez International, Pepperidge Farm, and Snyder’s-Lance; other leading firms include ARYZTA (Switzerland), Britannia Industries (India), Parle Biscuits (India), United Biscuits (UK), and Want Want Holdings (China).

Students discussed the following with shop supervisors :

  • Automation of chocolate (Gems) preparation unit.
  • Automation of chocolate (Monster) preparation unit and
  • Automation of chocolate (lickables) preparation unit

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :

The process involves the melting of chocolate in chocolate preparation unit, which is maintained at a temperature of 36-40⁰c and then molding process is done, cooled and conveyed to gems blower machine where it attains a proper shape, after that coloring is done via automated coated machine along with sugar coated process. And then it is sent to polishing and shorting division where to get a good shine and shape of gems. And then finally, it is checked and packing process is done by candy wrapping machine.

This event was a great success.

  • Embedded system is going to be the integrated parts of IOT .IOT will be compose of many things.
  • IoT and embedded systems testing has much in common with application testing, but there are key differences. Traditional software testing focuses on black box and graphic user interfaces,and doesn’t necessarily consider the source code
  • Embedded testing involves additional hardware elements, so testing focuses on this hardware, simulation, real-time behaviour, down time and grey box because the final results depend on these various aspects.
  • More collaborative or integrated way to work with software ahead of deployment. The Internet of Things could restructure software development and releases into an intuitive cycle., which would need a new test strategy that should cover five areas: Testing IoT devices, Automated testing , Simulation testing, Security testing, Interoperability testing , Real-time testing
  • Different types of embedded testing

Outcome of the Symposium :

  • The symposium included many of the technical events participated by good number of students.
  • This is helped the students in showing their strength in technical aspects. The technical events such as Tech Flash Expo, Mind Boggler, Cash of Minds, Circuitrix, Memory master, Pin your thoughts, paper presentation, coding and circuit debugging were included to prove their technical competence and competitiveness.
  • The nontechnical events such as Infinity hunt, Lenz brain, Seconds breaker, Clips and Cuts , Games were challenging to students and created lot of vibrancies .
  • This event is organized, participated and planned by the students and they got to learn lot of organizing, fund generation, accounts, event coordination etc.
  • The students exhibited their talent through show models built with electronics. This is added colors to the whole event.
  • The most of the models were reusable having wonderful ideas of event, coordination and management.

The expert talk on “How to excel in my life and Career Path” is conducted by Prof.N.Ramesh, Head ED Cell to the students of Engineering and MBA students on 22-11-2018.He told about how to be confident, importance of volunteering, how to learn, and information seeker. He briefed about the AWAKE institution where the students can learn or get the training about entrepreneurship. He stressed upon the importance of learning the concepts which brings in confidence, enjoying learning, reading the books and seeking for information from all the alternative modes, building the leadership qualities. He enlightened us to become more intrapreneurial than becoming an entrepreneur.
He trained on building of entrepreneurial skills, how to be successful in life, how to manage money and make money, how to face a problem, how to develop self confidence; always follow the heart, questioning, reasoning.
He also briefed about the importance of ideation, innovation, idea generation, business plans & pitching.
He also elaborated on how to start a business, preparing the business plan, understanding contracts and minding the business.

Outcome of the Program :

Extensive survey camp is a part of the curriculum for the students of sixth semester .The camp was conducted for duration of 10 days at Janapadaloka, Ramanagaram District 21st January 2019 to 30th January 2019.The students camped at Government premises adjoining Janapadaloka. Separate accommodation was provided for girls and boys.

The following projects were done by the students by rotation in the following sites.

  • New Tank Project near Government Engineering College, Ramanagaram
  • Tank Project close to Government Engineering College, Ramanagaram.
  • Village Project /Water Supply /Sanitation Project at the village Rajiv Gandhi Pura, Ramanagaram District.
  • Highway Project from Janapada Loka to village Rajiv Gandhi Pura, Ramanagaram District.
  • New Layout/Town Planning for Rajiv Gandhi Pura,Ramanagaram District

After doing the field work the students completed the required office work and prepared corresponding drawings .On final day they prepared the project report.

He shared his views in recent trends in research areas like Fluid mechanics, Fluid Dynamics. As there was a good interest among the participants. There were continuing discussions in between the lectures. The participants took keen interest in discussions and understanding the concepts of good practices as well as new techniques for solving the problems numerically.

Mini Project Expo 2018 was held on Nov 2nd 2018 , from 10 a.m to 1 p.m at CSE Lobby, RRCE. The Expo was organized by the faculty coordinators, Mrs. J.Rajalekshmi and Mrs. Ambika L.G under the guidance of Dr.S. Usha, Head of CSE Dept, RRCE.

26 Teams(100 students) from 3rd and 5th sem , CSE participated in the event. The chief guest for the expo was Dr. Punal M Arabi, Head of Bio Medical Department, ACS College of Engineering. Our honourable Rector , Dr. T. R Gopalakrishnan Nair, RRGI, also graced the occasion with his presence. Students exhibited projects based on different Technologies like IOT, Machine Learning, etc., The audience for the expo were from various departments. Four project teams won the cash prizes.

The Education awareness program was organized at kambipura, Mysore Road, Bangalore on 01st Oct 2018.

Education is a prerequisite for human development. Employment opportunities and income levels can be increased with the help of education. Individual development and progress of a nation depends on educational development. As education is an important factor of development, illiteracy and ignorance among the disadvantaged groups hampers their process of development. Lack of education of the disadvantaged youth inspires them to engage in informal economic activities rather than in formal engagement.

The RRCE NSS unit volunteers and NSS Programme Officer Mr.K S Ananda Kumar meet the 25 students those who are not going to schools at kambipura, Mysore road. we are discussed the importance of education and role of education in a current scenario with parents and students, they are agree to join their childrens to nearby schools and Anganavadies, We are suggested following schools – Govt primary School, Challagatta; Govt.Primary School, Anchepalya; Anganavadi, Challagatta.

    • Explained about the microwave test bench and the conduction of frequency and wave length measurement at x-band of operation.
    • Antenna experiment was conducted using microstrip,yagi-uda antenna at ‘S’ band of operation and antenna parameters namely gain, directivity measured.
    • Using optical communication kit, the different kind of losses like attenuation loss, bending loss, coupling loss were measured with help of one meter and three meter length optical fiber.

    • Demonstration about how to use tool boxes for different applications/projects like image processing ,ANN, fuzzy logic ,Signal processing etc which is useful to guide the student to do project using MAT lab.
  • VLSI Lab
    • Basic concept of digital and analog Circuits and provides guidelines to guide VLSI based UG Projects.
    • Introduction about cadence tool and trained for digital and analog experiments such as functional verification, logical verification, layout verification ,expecting parasitic resistances and capacitances.
