It’s glad to announce that the 9th Graduation Day of RajaRajeswari College of Engineering has been organized on 1st Sep 2018, Saturday at 11:00 a. m. at ACS Convention Centre. All the students and parents are cordially invited and requested to make the function a Grand Success.
The program was commenced with the thoughts of almighty of GOD. Dr. A. S. Murthy, Professor of Dept of EEE welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. M.B.Patil, Professor, Department of Electrical Engg, IIT Bombay with bouquet of flowers. Almost 20 faculties including outside participants registered for the FDP. Prof. Pavan Kumar K R, Asst. Prof. Dept. of EEE presented the brief bio-data of the Expert Speaker to the gathering.
This workshop is related to Sequel APP, an App developed at IIT Bombay for teaching electronics and power electronics. The idea behind this app is the following:
First, the teacher solves a numerical problem based on a certain topic and shows relevant simulation results in class. Next, the students are asked to work out “what if” cases (e.g., what will happen if a resistor value is changed). The students work out the solution and verify their answers using Sequel App on their mobiles. We believe that this additional step of checking out their understanding using an App will enrich the learning experience of the students.
In the FDP, the expert covered the examples of Network theorems, Digital circuits, and Op-amp linear circuits.
The topics currently covered in Sequel App are network theorems, diode circuits, common-emitter amplifier, op-amp linear circuits, Schmitt trigger, oscillator based on Schmitt trigger and digital circuits.
To download Sequel App: Please visit https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.ac.iitb.ee.SequelMobile OR search for “SEQUEL circuit mobile” in the App store. (Currently, the App works on the Android platform.)
The session was very interactive and the knowledge shared by the speaker uplifted the faculties to a level forward. The expert was felicitated with mementos by Management of Rajarajeswari College of Engg., Bengaluru. Also the presence of Mr. Prashanth Udupa, Developer of Sequel App grace the occasion. The Expert distributed the certificates to all participants. The program was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Prof. Sincy Elezebeth Kuruvilla , Asst. Prof. Dept .of EEE.

(a)DSP: A digital signal processor (DSP) is a specialized microprocessor (or a SIP block), with its architecture optimized for the operational needs of digital signal processing.
The goal of DSPs is usually to measure, filter or compress continuous real-world analog signals. Most general-purpose microprocessors can also execute digital signal processing algorithms successfully, but dedicated DSPs usually have better power efficiency thus they are more suitable in portable devices such as mobile phones because of power consumption constraints.[3] DSPs often use special memory architectures that are able to fetch multiple data or instructions at the same time.
DSP using MATLAB: MATLAB is a software package for high performance numerical computation and visualization provides an interactive environment with hundreds of built in functions for technical computation, graphics and animation.
(b)Micro grid controller: Micro grid is a localized group of electricity sources and loads that normally operates connected to and synchronous with the traditional centralized electrical grid (mIcro grid), but can also disconnect to “island mode” — and function autonomously as physical and/or economic conditions dictate.
In this way, a micro grid can effectively integrate various sources of distributed generation (DG), especially Renewable Energy Sources (RES), and can supply emergency power, changing between island and connected modes. Hawaii is itself a micro grid and always unintentionally is landing because it is indeed an island. If the AEPS allows a micro grid may be a small net used to catch sardines in deep sea fishing ventures.

He also appreciated the rural medical care provided by adapting 100 or more villages in the surrounding 4 distincts and providing them primary to tertiary Medical care by Mr. Shanmugam’s Medical and Dental Colleges.
Last year Prof. Andrew Edwards the International Associate Director of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow came and conducted Maxillofacial Surgeries a the Medical college and strongly advocated suitable recognition to the founder Chairman for the selfless service being given in the form of education and health care.
As a culmination of all these efforts the present President Prof. David Galloway and the Fellowship Committee of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow visited the Dental and Medical Colleges at Bangalore on 23.02.2018 and decided to confer the Honorary Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCPS) on Sri.
