Outcome of the Program :
The Inauguration started on 25th September 2019 at Von Neumann Seminar Hall, with a prayer, lighting the lamp followed by an inspirational speech by chief guest Mr. Tokla Durga Rao. The various events are conducted by the co-ordinator like Technical Quiz, Coding and Debugging, Multimedia Presentation (Theme based), Technical Debate, Technical Paper Presentation, Technical Rangoli and Memory Master.
OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION (OBE) AND NBA ACCREDITATION is an initiative by VTU TEQIP 1.3. The program was organized for 5 day with eminent chief speakers with experience in OBE and NBA accreditation. 30 External participants from various VTU affiliated colleges and 20 internal participants from RRCE participated in this training program.

The Training program started with inauguration by 9:30 am with our chief guest Dr. Rajanikanth, Ret. Principal, MSRIT, Bengaluru, followed by his session on Concept, need and importance of accreditation and Process of NBA Accreditation, Vision, Mission and PEOs. Next session was continued by Dr. Sadasivappa, Professor, RVCE, Bengaluru on the topic Goals of Vision, Mission & Institution and Experience sharing through papers and case study on Vision, Mission and PEOs.
Day 2: 21-01-2020
Dr. Senthil Kumaran, Professor & Dean Research, ACSCE, Bengaluru started the day 2 session on Design and Process of PSOs and Pos and SWOT Analysis. Later Dr. G. Vinoth, CEO Pongu Ventures carried the session on Aligning Innovation Ecosystem Strategies with Academic R&D. Afternoon session was delivered by Dr. Suresh Ramaswamy Reddy, Professor, BMSCE, Bengaluru on Identification of Curriculum gap and Content Beyond Syllabus.
Day 3: 22-01-2020
Dr. M. Nageswara Guptha, Vice Principal, SVCE, Bengaluru started the session with Student Centric Teaching Learning Process and Use of ICT Tools, Teaching methods in Laboratories and Quality of Student Projects. Dr. Suresh Ramaswamy Reddy, Professor, BMSCE, Bengaluru started the afternoon session with CO – PO mapping and computation, Experience sharing through paper and case study on CO-PO mapping and computation.

Initially, the students were shown how the layout is drawn using different software, like Mastercam Mill (version 9.0).It was used by them to draw the layout .The material used is a metal , they code the NC program for the same , they dump the code into CNC machine, where it uses the code, automatically shapes and cuts the material as coded in the program.
Later on the students saw many automated machines like drilling, milling & threading machines and learnt about their operations.
A while later, students were taken to their robotics lab. There, Mr. Narasimha Prasad, robotics lab in-charge, explained us how robots were developed, how the technology changed, how it led to the development of different kinds of robot we see today. We also learned what type of robots industries use and what kind of robots are used in non-industrial applications. We saw how the robots work and were taught how to program a robot.
Overall, the visit provided us with great source of practical knowledge, exposed us to the working environment. We learned a lot from our visit, it created a positive feeling amongst us. We were inspired by their work & skillset.

The interactions are focused on the on-going trends in industry, student innovations and opportunities and areas where the students and industries can jointly work together for mutual benefits. This would result in establishing productive relationships and share expertise and talents with in them. Representatives from more than 50 companies CEO’s, Directors, Industry Representatives from various Companies and various domains had participated in this meet and contribute towards this initiative. 120 Students Participated From RRCE and ACS College of engineering, 60 Faculties had participated from RRCE and ACS College of engineering.
After Invocation, The program Commenced with welcome address by Dr. R Balakrishna, Principal, RRCE. Sri. Kalyanam Kannan, Director, CTDS Highlighted the significance of this event and advised to the participated students to make use of this opportunity and to have interaction for their betterment in terms of internship, projects, placements & start-ups.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. A.C.Shanmugam, Chairman, RRGI informed that he was very much delighted to have the presence of number of CEO’s/ Industry Representatives besides chief guest Dr. Nagahanumaiah, Director, CMTI, Bangalore, Guest of Honors Padma Shri. In their industry they supply pivot joints and earth moving equipments. Where they have metal defect identifies ,arc welding to join the metal ,induction hardening ,lathe machine ,CNC machines and roof cranes to carry out the heavy metal.
Pivot joints allow for rotation which is both internal and external like ball and socket joint, saddle joint, hinge joint, etc.
Metal defect identifier using the ultraviolet rays which detected the cracks in the work piece.
Gas metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding was done to join the metals to prevent them from oxidation and to create required amount of heat to join the metals.
Then is the induction hardening of the metals by the process of quenching. Where quenching is rapid cooling of the metals by water and coolants.
Then the lathe machines which attached coolants and CNC MACHINES.
There were roof cranes up to 5000kg to carry out the heavy shipping of the metals that are manufactured.

The gathering was given complete information about the Salesforce designed Trailblazer course ,its registration via ICT Academy, its community group and also the allotting of industry mentors for the guidance of students enrolling themselves into this course.
They also briefed the gathering about various levels of the course and how one can be rewarded with their superbadges.
They also shared the benefits of taking up and completing this course in terms for placements for the final year students and very promising internship for the pre-final year students.
Fice group in collaboration with UC Berkeley, headquartered at California, had conducted a training program at RRCE. Its aim was to get innovative ideas from students in various sectors like health care sector, tourism sector, agriculture sector, transportation sector and many more and enhance entrepreneurship.
The main outcome was to make students understand the way to understand the market and then come up with the product. The training was held for a week and top 2 teams were selected for the global acceleration program where total of 24 teams participated from all over the country. Out of which in final top three teams were chosen. This program was conducted in ‘Royal orchids’, Domlur, Bangalore for 2 days. There were many sessions like the initial phase presentation, final presentation and final pitching session.
RRCE ECE Students team ‘Hypro’ was selected as one of the top three teams in the Global Acceleration Program. Our project titled “Smart Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine” got global recognition. Hope we come up with a prototype soon and contribute it to our society.

The Department of Computer Science in association with ENGINOMATIC & DEVELOPHOWTO | INDIA organized a 3 days student development program on Web Development for the Students of 2nd Year, from 4th SEP to 6th SEP 2019 wherein a total of 143 students attended.

RajaRajeswari College of Engineering had their 10th Convocation ceremony on 13th September, 2019 at 11 AM at ACS Convention centre. Sri. V. Somanna, Hon’ble Minister for Housing, Government of Karnataka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Welcoming the dignitaries, the Principal, RajaRajeswari College of Engineering Dr. R. Balakrishna, commented on the remarkable progress the institution has made especially in the last 5 years. The Principal thanked the faculties for stupendous results from the college. He also noted that the college has given a lot of importance to Research activities and has set up a Research wing for the same. In his presidential address, the Chairman of RRGI, Dr.A.C Shanmugam said that the true success of an education is when one becomes a job creator than a Job seeker. While quoting Former President Dr. APJ Abdula Kalam, the chairman asked the students to serve the nation with integrity and bring great laurels to the institution as well as the nation. He urged the graduants to be a good role model to their juniors. While reiterating the commitment of the management towards Research, he said that the management has set up a separate cell for the Research publications as well to involve the students in incubation projects.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Gueast, Hon’ble Minster for Housing, Sri. V. Somanna advised the students that the learning curve does not end here but this is the beginning. He also urged the students to become model citizens of this country and care for the needy when they attain the position to help the poor.

The scholar presented his research work entitled “Application of Polynomial Splines and Finite Element Techniques for Numerical Integration in Two Dimensional Euclidean Space” successfully and satisfactorily through a power point presentation. The presentation covered the literature survey, problem formulation, goals & objectives, proposed work, results and inferences, validation and major conclusions and contributions of the research.
The research scholar explained the research objectives clearly highlighting the problems based on extensive literature review. The scholar has effectively elaborated the aspects of the study. He has used his potential to carry out the research successfully. The candidate answered satisfactorily all the queries raised by the examiners through a power point presentation giving clarifications. In conclusion, the thesis has made an important contribution on the Application of Polynomial Splines, Mesh Generation, and Numerical Integration over Polygonal Domains, Curved Domains in two space and over Linear Convex Polyhedron in three space. This thesis is presented very systematically. These theoretical results are very much interesting and useful to researchers in engineering and science. Most of the results are already published in reputed journals. This thesis is a significant and welcome addition to the research area and useful to scientists. On the basis of this work, the Viva-voce committee is satisfied with the performance of the candidate and recommended the thesis for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics to Mr. Kallur. The chief guest Mr. Arya Rajesh Kumar has given well in advanced ideas for the newly joined engineering students in the technical field. The chief guest is having various knowledge in different domains and is an eminent personality, guiding and supporting students for learning different domains in the technical field. He has addressed young students to focus on to start and startups implementing new ideas in the technical field. He himself CEO of AVOHI company. He is master in leadership helping several companies and founder of FORMAX information technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, Karnataka. His motivational talk helps to the students to achieve their goals.
The event started with the formal Inaugural function at 9.30a.m in Abdul Kalam Conference Hall. Mr.Afnan Shaikh, Chief Guest, Dr Balakrishna R, Principal RRCE, Prof GopalaKrishnan Nair, Rector RRCE, Dr Usha Saktivel, Research Dean/HoD CSE, Prof N.SwathiPriya, Association Co-ordinator and Student Vice Chairman Akshay were present on the dias. The function started with Invocation Song, followed by the welcome speech given by Sahana & Pooja of 3rd sem. Association report was given by Association Co-ordinator, followed by presidential address given by Principal and Rector. Vote of thanks given by the student Vice Chairman.
All technical and non-technical events conducted in 5th floor of CSE department in various rooms. Students from different colleges and from different departments of RRCE participated. We have total count of 221 students registered for different events. All events were completed by 3.30pm with the winners list. Lunch was provided for co-coordinators and faculties.
Valedictory function started at 3.30pm, Students from different colleges shared their experience about TRIGGER 2K19 followed by Prize Distribution for winner’s. We gave the cash prize for technical events and non-technical events. The function was finally ended by thanking management, Principal, HoD, Faculites, Non-teaching staff, our sponsors and all student coordinators who worked for this event to make this event a grand success.

Mini Project Expo 2019 was held on Nov 18th 2019, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CSE Lobby, RRCE. The Expo was organized by the faculty coordinators, Dr. Sheba Selvam and Mrs. Huda Mirza Saifuddin under the guidance of Dr.S. Usha, Head of CSE Dept, RRCE.
20 Teams (80 students) from 3rd and 5th sem, CSE participated in the event. The chief guest for the expo was Mr. Maaz Shaikh, Software Development Engineer, CISCO Systems, Bangalore. Our honorable Rector, Dr. T. R Gopalakrishnan Nair, RRGI, also graced the occasion with his presence. Students exhibited projects based on different Technologies like IOT, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision etc., The audience for the expo were from various departments. International Yoga Day 2019
International Yoga Day celebration 2019 was held at RajaRajeswari College of Engineering, Bengaluru on 21.06.2019 at 10 AM. The Program has started with prayer song and lightening of lamp.The Program was attended by Rector, Dean, Principal and Heads of Departments.
Dr. Maruthi Ram, Professor & HoD, BNMIT assisted with Mr Shymaraju were the Resource Persons.
They enlightened the audience by bringing awareness on the importance of Yoga and its benefits. Various Asanas were demonstrated along with meditation practice. Number of faculty , staff and students participated in the function by themselves practiced some of the Asanas under the guidance of the above Resource Persons.
They advised the participants to practice Yoga on regular basis in order to secure enhancement of their physical and mental health. Overall, the program was very much successful.

Five Post graduate students from Kannur University visited and utilized R&D, Physics under the guidance of Dr. Jobish Johns as a part of their curriculum.
Physics and Chemistry student project exhibition for II semester was held on 20/05/2019 from 1 to 4pm at Physics Laboratory, RRCE. Students of first year came out with wonderful and excellent ideas along with working models. 05 groups of students were participated in the event. Our honorable Principal, Rector, Dean Various HODs, faculty members also graced the occasion with their presence and students from all the branches of RRCE visited the exhibition. Project Expo 2019 was held on 20th May, from 10AM to 1PM at CSE Project Lab , RRCE. The Expo was organized by the faculty coordinators, KamalRaj T and Nandini G under the guidance of Dr.S. Usha, Head of CSE Dept, RRCE. 26 Teams(96 students) from Final Year , CSE Dept. participated in the event. The chief guest for the expo was Dr.J Anitha, Professor, Dept. of CSE, DSATM, Bengaluru and Mr. SelvaRaju, Corporate Trainer, Bengaluru. Students exhibited projects based on different Domains like Big Data Analytics, IOT, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Image processing , Data Mining, Networking, Artificial Intelligence, etc., The audience for the expo were from CSE, ISE and MCA department Students and Faculties . Four project teams won the cash prizes.
Finally the judges were honored from the Dept. side.
Outcome of the Event :
CSE Department is conducting Final Year Project Exhibition since last four years keeping in mind the pursuance of student’s natural curiosity and imagination to showcase their creativity. About conference flow :
National Conference started with the inaugural function 9.30am on 14th May 2019, with all the dignitaries and the keynote speaker. After the inaugural function, NCVCS-19 chief guest Mr. UMESHA HASSAN , gave talk on Skills required for the next generation. After the inauguration followed by tea break, morning sessions started in parallel. Post lunch afternoon session started followed by Valedictory, in which the Best paper awards and certificates for participants were distributed.

The workshop was based on IT Infrastructure, Networking and security and guidance on what to do next. First session was taken up by Mr. Kantharaj J who said how much important it was to have a better communication skill, what technical skills and programming languages were in demands etc. He said about choosing a right carrier path. He also briefed about different programming languages that are booming nowadays.
Mr.Manoj explained about IT Infrastructure. Different job opportunities in IT field like Networking Engineer, Testing Engineer, System administrator etc. He said about different Operating systems like Windows, LINUX, and MAC. Then he gave information about various networking system like virtual networking system and servers like Oracle virtual box, web server, print server, file server, media server and collaboration server. Even ethical hacking was discussed.
The workshop was useful. It gave an insight of what skill sets a student should possess and also how they should keep themselves updated of all the new technologies different certifications to sustain in corporate world.

A National level technical fest ANOKHA 2K19 was conducted by ISE Department on 26th & 27th March, 2019. The TechFest “ANOKHA 2K19” was inaugurated by Mr.N.K. Venkatnarayanan, Leadership Coach and Management Consultant, Tata Consultancy Services, Bengaluru. Dr.R.Balakrishna, Principal, RajaRajeswari College of Engineering presided over the function. Dr. J.Amutharaj, Professor and HOD / ISE delivered the welcome address.
Mr.M.K.Venkatnarayanan in his inaugural address stressed the importance of organizing symposium and seminars for the students to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the recent technological trends. He advised the students to acquire more practical exposure and knowledge by attending symposiums and seminars. He stressed that the purpose should be prepared based on one’s understanding and innovative thinking. Dr.T.R.Gopalakrishnan Nair, Rector, RR Group of Institutions and Dr.K.Ramar, Dean of the college also felicitates the students. In the symposium 22 papers were presented in two sessions. The themes of the sessions are Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Security in Social Networks, Image Processing and Wireless Sensor Networks. Apart from the paper presentations, project Exhibition was organized. The other events in the Symposium include Technical Quiz, Pair Programming, Debugging, CinemaPedia, PubG, Collage and Treasure hunt. Around 180 students from various colleges participated in this two days technical fest.

RRCE NSS Unit Organized the EYE SCREENING CAMP association with Lions Club of Bangalore South and Parvathi Nethralaya at Govt. Higher primary School, Koluru, Chunchanakuppe Gram Panchayat, Bangalore, Karnataka on 27th Feb 2019 between 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM.
In this camp overall 100 people were screened, 70 Govt. School students and 30 members from nearby villages are participated. Dr. Sahana from Parvathi Nethralaya headed the eye screening camp.

RRCE NSS Unit Organized the NSS CAMP – SWACHATHA PROGRAM association with AIKYA at Mukthinaga Temple, Bangalore, Karnataka on 5th MARCH 2019 between 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM.
Objective of this program is about an improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas, by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation.
In this camp Mukthinaga temple Committee members, NSS Programme Officer and 50 NSS Volunteers are actively participated, clean the temple premises like main road, parking area and temple park etc.
