Report Of National Level Technical; Symposium TRIGGER 2K16
The event started with the formal Inaugural function at 9.00a.m in CSE Seminar Hall. Dr Gopalakrishnan Nair, Rector, RRCE, Dr Balakrishna R, Principal RRCE, Prof Prabhakar M, Vice Principal RRCE, Dr Usha Saktivel, HoD CSE and Prof Sreenivasa B R, Symposium Coordinator were present on the dias. The function started with Invocation Song, followed by the welcome speech given by Krithika D of 5th sem. Association report was given by HoD of CSE, followed by presidential address given by Rector, Principal and Vice Principal. Vote of thanks given by the Aakash Manneri of 5th followed by tea.
All technical and non technical events conducted in 5th floor of CSE department in various rooms. Students from 14 different colleges like UVCE,Dr.AIT,Amrutha,RRMCH,JVIT,AIT,RNSIT,ACSCE,VKIT,DBIT,GAT,SVVIT,
SIET,SSIT, and from different departments of RRCE participated. We have around 700 students registered for different events and in particularly we have 8 students in Paper Presentation, 41 teams for Technical Quiz, 28 teams for General Quiz, 51 teams for Adreline Rush, 300 students for Gaming, 29students for Debugging. All events were completed by 4.30pm with the winners list. Lunch was provided for all participants, co-coordinators and faculties.
Valedictory function started at 4.30pm with Prof S Usha ,HOD,CSE Dept and all faculties of CSE. Students from different colleges shared their experience about TRIGGER 2K16 followed by Prize Distribution for winner’s. We gave the cash prize of 1000 for 1st prize and 500 for 2nd prize for technical events and electronic gadgets for non technical events. The function was finally ended by thanking management, Principal, HoD, Faculties, Non teaching staff and all student coordinators who worked for this event to make this event a grand success.

About conference flow:
Conference started with the inauguration on 22nd Sep-2016, with all the dignitaries and the keynote speaker. Keynote address was delivered on “Internet Computing”, which was followed by tea break, we started with the sessions according to schedule.
The second day of the conference on 23rd Sep 2016 started with the sessions followed by Valedictory, in which the Best paper awards and certificates for participants were distributed.

Outcome of Event:
A Mini project expo was organized by the Dept of CSE which gave an opportunity for the students to exhibit their creativity, which was co-ordinated by the CSE Department. GPS Locator and Surveillance Robot was the highlight of the expo. Expeditious exhibit project charts, embedded based models of digital water supply, automatic toll payment. The methods like sensor & solar power were also included in the expo. Power point presentation highlighted the information regarding several sectors in implementation. “MINI PROJECT EXPO-2k16” was an informative and a grant successful.

- In idea presentation was done by different groups of different colleges. The different innovative ideas were presented by different groups. This event has created a common platform to present the work done in academic institution of high standard.

Workshop on PLC and SCADA
The event was very helpful to the UG students to learn and to have hands on PLC and SCADA technology. They learned how to atomize the system using PLC programing and to design the same in SCADA. Student shared their expertise by doing small project using the software, they were also happy to take up their project in PLC and SCADA and implement new ideas on automation.

One Day Workshop on IBM Bluemix and TGMC – Report
Computer Science and Engineering department association “Aurora Technocrats” has organized workshop on “IBM Bluemix and TGMC” on 08/02/2016.
This function aimed at providing a platform for students to develop a project and to explore & inspire them towards excellence in Computer Science and Technology.
The function started at 10.00am. This occasion was graced by the Technical Speaker of the Function Mr.Waseem Ahmed, Program Manager, IBM India and Dr. S. Usha, HOD, CSE.
The event was conducted for all CSE students and served for more than 150 students.
Mr. Waseem Ahmed delivered a technical talk on “IBM Bluemix and TGMC”, IBM Bluemix is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) developed by IBM. It supports several programming languages and to build, run, deploy and manage applications on the cloud.
The objective behind TGMC(The Great Mind Challenge) is to encourage students who aspire to make key contributions, to develop applications on cutting-edge IBM technologies while providing them with an opportunity to improve their software-writing skills.
We thank the management for their constant and continuous encouragement, Principal for providing valuable directions and support in time.

Alumni Meet Proceedings Held on 26.01.2016
The fifth Annual Alumni meet “SAMANVAYA-16” of RRCE Alumni Association was held at RajaRajeswari College of Engineering conference hall, on 26th JAN 2016. Alumni Association Coordinator Prof.Bhuvaneshwari invited all the alumni’s and deligates for the meet.
As dignitaries Dr. Balakrishna, Principal RRCE, Mr. Rahul, Alumni association member, HOD’s of all departments had participated and shared their views in the meet.
Few Alumni’s spoke and expressed that they felt proud about seeing the growth of RRCE in academics infrastructure and placement they also requested for more knowledge on practical concepts which they promised to join their hands with college through alumni association for betterment of the students.
The third edition of newsletter in the name of SAMANVAYA-16 was released by the dignitaries. Alumni association election was conducted to select PRESIDENT and MR. MADHU K N was selected for the post rest for the post of Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer Mr. Parveen. M K, Samantha Kumar N, Akshar. K V, Pavan Kumar K R was selected respectively. Lavish Lunch was arranged for all the alumni’s participated.

NanoStructured,Smart and Electronic Materials
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rajarajeswari College of Engineering (RRCE), organized one day International Workshop on “Nanostructured, Smart and Electronic Materials (IWNSE-2016)” on Friday 8th January-2016.
More than 100 participants attended the workshop including academicians, research scholars, and faculty staffs, scientists, practicing engineers from industries, R&D personnel and PG/UG students from various colleges. The main focus of the workshop was to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of research on the functional and mechanical properties of all materials which are of interest to material scientists and engineers from many different areas including R&D. The topics included, technical talks on the fabrication and characterization techniques of nano-structured materials, smart materials, micro and nano fabrication techniques of electronic materials and their key potential technologically significant applications.
International workshop was presided by the chief guest Dr. Ajay Kumar Kambham, Ph.D (imec-Belgium), along with Dr. T. R. Gopalakrishnan Nair, Rector (RRGI), Dr. R. Balakrishna, Principal (RRCE), Dr. R. Shankara Reddy, HOD (Dept. of Mech. Engg., RRCE) and Dr. S. Anand Kumar, Professor (Dept. of Mech. Engg., RRCE) and Organizing Secretary of IWNSE-2016. Dr. Ajay Kumar Kambham is a Senior Engineer at Global Foundries, Malta, USA, who is an expert in semiconductor materials and its characterization as well as one among the resource person of the workshop. The key note address was delivered by Dr. T. R. Gopalakrishnan Nair, Rector, Rajarajeswari Group of Institutions, who is a former ISRO Senior Scientist (Retd,), who had worked on various projects which is of national importance. Key note lecture was delivered on the topic titled “Changing Paradigms of Semiconductor Technology & Computing Challenges”.
The brainstorming technical sessions were the key highlights of this international workshop. The workshop was overwhelmed with enthusiastic participation from different domain of technical fraternity. The technical talks were delivered by the other resource persons, Dr. T. N. Raju, Ph.D (IIT-Madras), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore and Dr. S. Anand Kumar, Ph.D (IIT-Madras), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rajarajeswari College of engineering, Bangalore were enriching and embellishing factors of the workshop.

Awareness on Higher Education (GATE, GRE, IAS…)
Adverting to the above, we would like to bring this matter for your kind information that our Computer Science and Engineering department had organized a seminar on Awareness on Higher Education (GATE, GRE, IAS…) held on 28th October 2015.
The awareness aimed at providing a common platform for students to gain knowledge on acquiring higher education after their graduation in Computer Science and Technology.
Mr.N Venugopala Raja B.E, M.S(UK) from VIET (Vani Institute of Engineering and Technology)delivered a talk on “Awareness on Higher Education in India and Abroad”.
Seminar was opened for 3rd & 5th Semesters students of CSE. Around 150 students are attended and motivated.

Report Of National Level Technical Symposium : TRIGGER 2K15
The event started with the formal Inaugural function at 9.30a.m in Aryabhata Conference Hall. Dr Balakrishna R, Principal RRCE,Prof Prabhakar M, Vice Principal RRCE, Dr Usha Saktivel, HoD CSE, Prof Rajesh K S, Association Co-ordinator and Student Vice Chairman Hemanko Baidya were present on the dias. The function started with Invocation Song, followed by the welcome speech given by Vyshnavi of 5th sem. Association report was given by HoD of CSE, followed by presidential address given by Principal and Vice Principal. Vote of thanks given by the student Vice Chairman followed by tea.
All technical and non technical events conducted in 5th floor of CSE department in various rooms. Students from 9 different colleges like JNTU,AndhraPradesh,JVIT,BNMIT,BMSCE,BITS,RNSIT,ACSCE,VKIT and from different departments of RRCE participated. We have total count of 469 students registered for different events and in particularly we have 13 students in Paper Presentation, 57 students for Technical Quiz, 74 students for Bollywood Tadka, 7 students for Poster Design, 170 students for Gaming, 28 students for Bug Master, 120 students for Connexion and 6 teams for Comedy King .All events were completed by 3pm with the winners list. Lunch was provided for all participants, co-coordinators and faculties.
Valedictory function started at 3.30pm with Prof Prabhakar M, Vice Principal as a guest. Students from different colleges shared their experience about TRIGGER 2K15 followed by Prize Distribution for winner’s. We gave the cash prize of 1500 for 1st prize and 1000 for 2nd prize for technical events and electronic gadgets for non technical events. The function was finally ended by thanking management, Principal, HoD, Faculites, Non teaching staff, our sponsorer NIIT and all student coordinators who worked for this event to make this event a grand success.

M-Tech students of both CSE and CNE branch for the academic year 2015-16 are welcomed by Dr Usha S, HoD of CSE department on 14-09-2015 in the department seminar hall.
