NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

NSS Stands for National Service Scheme. The main objective of the National Service Scheme as envisaged originally was service to the community, offered while undergoing instruction, in an educational institution. It was sought to arouse the social consciousness of students and provide them with the opportunity to work with the people around the educational campuses creatively and constructively and to put the education they received to concrete social use. It has been felt that the primary aim of the scheme is to enable the students to upgrade their personality and experience through community service. Every year 24th September is celebrated as NSS Day.

The motto, i.e., the watchword of the NSS is “Not Me But You”. This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man’s point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. Rajarajeswari College of Engineering has been in the forefront of NSS activities. The NSS unit has strength of 100 volunteers. The impetus is to give the students best educational experience in order to make them responsible and productive citizens of the country. It has undertaken many socially and environmentally viable programmes which are very much helpful to the mankind; service is our motto of RRCE-NSS. The Principal, Dr. Balakrishna R is the Chairman of RRCE-NSS Unit with Mr. Ananda Kumar K S is the NSS Programme Officer.

The overview of the topics:
RFID TECHNOLOGY IN SMART CARD
Radio – frequency Identification (RFID) is the wireless use of electromagnetic fields to transfer data, for the purpose of automatically identifying and tracking tags attached to objects. RFID is one method for automatic identification and data capture (AIDC)
RFID tags can be attached to cash, clothing, or even implanted within people, or in smart cards and many more.

WATER LEVEL INDICATOR
The circuit consisting of 4 sensing probes which is dipped in water to sense the level of water. The probe A is connected as common to other three, which should be at the bottom most part of the water tank, also it act as a reference model. The probes B, C and D are set as minimum, minimum+, middle and maximum level respectively.

LI – FI TECHNOLOGY
Li – Fi technology is to transfer the data through a light beam from one end to another end with a line of sight condition only. Now a day’s lights using everywhere morning and night also 24/7 by using this light we can send the data without wifi or any other hubs.

GSM BASED FIRE DETECTION AND CONTROL IN BUSES
Now a day’s AC Buses are accident more due to fire, emergency exit not working properly and information not passed to emergency call centers so we are build a GSM based fire detection and control in buses once fire occurs immediately send the message to near police hospital and fire station

STUDY LAMP
The model is about the electricity consumption. By using less amount electricity, we are getting more intensity of the lamp. This model is making by using waste products of home usage. This model depends on laws reflections. This will be more useful in rural areas (where there is problem for electricity). This model is mainly useful for rural area students. It requires fewer costs.

FREE ENERGY GENERATOR
Free energy generator works on the principle of magnetic reflections. The energy enginee/fan motor is taken and along its all blades the button magnets are attached on both sides. Now the motor is connected to testing device using wires. Using a bar magnet rotate it above the fan motor. In this way the fan will rotate and testing device will start working. Finally, energy is generated using the magnetic mechanism.

INFRARED BURGLER ALARM
Burglar alarms systems are increasingly being used in private homes, offices, stores, and other businesses. They have become standard equipment especially in stores, warehouses, the system is also suitable for use in jewelry stores, artifacts in museums and for safe guarding drawing, paintings and sculpture in art galleries and also to detect unauthorized access.

THERMOELECTRIC AIR CONDITIONER
In construction, a complete system of heating, ventilation and air conditioning is referred to as HVAC. Its purpose in the home or in the car, is to provide comfort during hot days and nights. Our goal in heating and air conditioning is to maintain a comfortable in vehicle temperature and humidity.

Comfort at the Doorstep : In-House Banking Facility at RRCE

Comfort at the Doorstep : In-House Banking Facility at RRCE

RRCE is always keen to introduce new innovative steps to improve the quality of education. RRCE in collaboration with ICICI bank has ensured to open a new ICICI Bank branch on 14th Sep 2013 within the RRCE Campus. With this new branch opening inside the campus, ICICI Bank would help RRCE students and Professionals to manage their financial deals, in-house, fast and smooth. As the bank is there at their doorstep, students professionals working in RRCE don’t have to go searching for their bank branches for their financial dealings.
