World Autoimmune Arthritis day – 2021

The International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis has orchestrated an annual campaign since 2012 to raise awareness of diseases that are autoimmune in nature and that cause joint inflammation and pain. That includes such diseases as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Sjögren’s syndrome, to name a few. World Autoimmune/Autoinflammatory Arthritis Day is May 20 this year. The theme, with a nod to the “auto” prefix, is “Race to Fuel Awareness.” The ASBMB will observe WAAAD by sharing research and stories about the mechanisms of the disease

The event began with a hymn of invocation by Mrs.Nandini G Professor Dept of CSE, followed by a welcome address and guest talk.

Various technical and non-technical events conducted virtually by student coordinator’s with the guidance of faculty coordinator’s, students from different colleges and different departments of RRCE registered and participated.We have total count of 100 plus students registered for different events. All the events were completed by 3.30PM with the winners list.

Valedictory function started at 3.45PM, students from different colleges shared their experience about TRIGGER 2K21 followed by prize announcement of cash prize for technical events and non technical events winners. The function was finally ended by thanking the management, Principal, HOD, Faculties, Non-teaching staff, our sponsors and all student coordinator’s who worked for this event to make a grand success.

The objective of camp is,
• To understand the practical applications of Surveying.
• To use Total station, Plane table, Dumpy level, Theodolite, Chain / Tape and other Measurement Equipment’s.
• Work in teams and learn time management, communication and presentation skills.
In view of the objective the students of III-year, VI semester, students have undergone this camp during 17/03/21 to 27/03/21 (10 days). Through the camp the students surveyed for various projects such as,

2. Water Supply and Sanitary Project
3. Highway Project
4. Restoration of an Existing Tank and
5. Town/Housing / Layout Planning.
The above projects were successfully conducted at Mukthi Naga temple, Ramohalli, Bangalore – 560060.

MoU with Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association

With the support of Management, Principal, HOD-Mech, Faculties, the Department of Mechanical Engineering signed Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) on 11th February 2021, 3.05 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. The resource person Mr. M Krishnamoorthy, Sr. Director Training, IMTMA delivered the lecture about “Employability opportunities in Manufacturing Industries” and explained the various programs such as foundation course on Industrial Automation, finishing school in Production Engineering, 200+ focused technical programs on design, productivity, quality, maintenance, metal forming, emerging technologies, CNC machining and e-learning courses conducted by IMTMA to the gathering. He pointed out the benefits obtained by the students because of this MoU.

Benefits to be obtained from this MoU
1. To cater to the need for enhancement of the skillsets of fresh graduates in Mechanical Engineering and to mould them into “Industry Employable”.

  • He has designed and developed Multicrop seed drill machine, Reversible disc plow, reversible MB plow, Cultivator, etc
  • He is in the stage of design and development of New generation plowing machine and a Fully automated seed sowing machine.

He has explained the various agricultural products like Multicrop seed drill machine, Reversible disc plow, Reversible MB plow, Cultivator designed and manufactured by him. He briefed about his journey towards becoming an entrepreneur. He explained how to approach real-life problems, analyze the problem, strategies to be followed to solve the problem, and solution for the problem. He has obtained various grants to manufacture the product. He has set up a start-up with the incubation center of the National College of Engineering, Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu.
