Workshop on Proteus Simulation and PCB Design

Date : 21st – 22nd and 24th October 2016

Venue : Satyendra Nath Bose Seminar Hall, Department of ECE, RRCE, Bengaluru

Objective :
The students will gain the knowledge on Simulation and PCB Design of the circuit. The students will get exposure towards Proteus software, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and 3D visualizer of the circuit. This will be an important inclusion in the students profile for the job.

Mentoring Team : 7th semester ECE students
1. Kiran N B
2. Sachin S
3. Pavan Simha K

4. Vijayalakshmi A

Target Participants : UG students of all related Engineering fields are invited to participate.

Outcome of the Program :

  • During the lecture part the spectrum discussed about the basics and principle of PCB layout design.
  • After the lecture part students designed the circuit diagram using proteus. The attendees are given a circuit diagram to simulate and make a layout from proteus. Participants selected the right component and placed with right value of each component, after placing components they switched to proteus areas to design the layout.
  • Students have learned fundamentals of PCB design, how to run P-spice simulator, testing circuit design by a simulator, creating a PCB design, placing the components in given area, selecting the layers of PCB, Doing auto router, testing the 3D visualization
  • This workshop developed interest in the students for learning further and making small projects in the upcoming semesters.
