  • During the lecture part the spectrum discussed about the basics and principle of PCB layout design.
  • After the lecture part students designed the circuit diagram using proteus. The attendees are given a circuit diagram to simulate and make a layout from proteus. Participants selected the right component and placed with right value of each component, after placing components they switched to proteus areas to design the layout.
  • Students have learned fundamentals of PCB design, how to run P-spice simulator, testing circuit design by a simulator, creating a PCB design, placing the components in given area, selecting the layers of PCB, Doing auto router, testing the 3D visualization
  • This workshop developed interest in the students for learning further and making small projects in the upcoming semesters.

The main objectives of the Centre of Excellence are:

 Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. established the Centre of Excellence for better exposure in the field of Automobiles to the students.
 To expose students to the Automobile industry through various programs/ training activities and providing access to video manuals.

• Toyota complete driveline with Engine (ETIOS), Gearbox, Propeller shaft, and rear axle. (for demonstration).
• Engine with dismantling stand with 360 degrees rotating with Gray and Castor wheels with brakes. (for assembling and dismantling).

The department of Mechanical Engineering had conducted a one-month Internship training program on Altair Hyper works from 10th March to 10th April 2021 through the Centre of Excellence Laboratory. This program was conducted for final year Mechanical Engineering students to bridge the gap between institutions and Industries.

The inaugural function was conducted on 10th March 2021 in the Centre of Excellence Laboratory. The function started at 10.30 am in the Centre of Excellence Laboratory. Dept of Mechanical Engineering, RRCE, Bengaluru. 22 students were registered for the Internship program and among them 21 Students from our institution and 1 student from another institution. The participant’s list is enclosed.

To Commensurate the Golden Jubilee year of NSS, A 8th Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized at the RajaRajeswari College of Engineering, through National Service Scheme Unit Headed by Mr. Ramesha S, Assistant Prof, Dept of CHE, NSS Programme Officer and Youth Red Cross wing headed by Dr. Vishwanath K C, Associate Prof, Dept of ME, Youth Red Cross Coordinator on 25th March 2021 wherein RRMCH Blood Bank, Red Cross Blood Bank, Victoria hospital blood bank have participated. As many as 425 students and faculty have participated in 8th Voluntary Blood Donation Camp. 182 units of blood are collected in the campaign.

It all started with conducting interviews for selecting coordinators who had zeal and passion to be the organizers of this one of its kind online Fest. Many meeting were conducted with faculty and student coordinators to chart down the process of conducting the event. Finalizing the events list and forming the main coordinators consisting of 10 members who would lead the team was also formed. For each and every event 2 faculty coordinators
and 4 student coordinators were nominated. Committees were framed to decentralize the work and rules and regulations were discussed online over google meet and other online platforms. Banners and posters were made using few online posters making software’s and were published in whatsapp groups and in Microsoft teams to reach all students. Google forms were used to register students for various events. Sufficient time was provided for all students to decide and plan, so that any student can participate in more than 5 events. 2 categories were made namely live events and ongoing events to make sure that time and events did not clash while students participate in more than 2 events.

Wide publicity of the events was given by broadcasting committee. Overwhelm support from participants was seen through the registration process. More than 1000+ registration for various events was seen in a span of 15 days. Organizing committee requested principal and management to conduct inaugural function offline. Film actors Srujan Lokesh, Manu Basavaraj, Suman had sent their wishes through videos.

Broadcasting coordinators prepared YouTube link for the inaugural function and was live telecasted.
Link was shared to all participants, students, staffs and faculties to witness the event online.

International Yoga Day 2021

As per the directions from the Ministry of Education and AICTE, International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2021 and is being conducted since its inception from 2015. The function started at 12.30 pm in the CTDS hall, Ground floor, RRCE, Bengaluru. More than 147+ students and faculties participated in the Yoga day. The participants list is enclosed. The yoga was conducted through online and offline mode simultaneously.

Resource Person Profile: International Yoga Champion and esteemed alumni Smt. Sameeksha was invited as Resource person / Trainer through online for this function. She being International Yoga Champion along with her students demonstrated yogasana and pranayama to the staff and students online. She being an esteemed alumni of our college, studied B.E in Mechanical Engineering (2010-2014). List of her achievements are mentioned below:
• Won Gold in National Yoga Competition at Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu in 2008.
• Won First prize at Dasara International Yoga Championship in 2009.
• First prize at International Yoga Competition at Mysore, Karnataka in 2010.
• Awarded the ‘Yoga Sadhaki’ award from Karnataka South Zone Association in 2010.
• Conferred with ‘Bharatha Yoga Nidhi’ award by Vishwa Prakruti Yoga Kendra.
• Won ‘Yoga Sadhaka’ award from SJS International Yoga College.
• Awarded the ‘VishwaManava Sri’ by VishwaManavaVedike.
• Won Silver and Bronze medals at 7th International Yoga Fair held in Malaysia in 2018.
• Won Bronze and Gold medals in Rhythmic Pair Yoga and Athletic Yoga respectively at the 4th World Yoga Championship in Bankya, Bulgaria in June 2019.

Dr. T. Chandrashekar, Principal, Dr. R. Balakrishna, Dean and Dr. Usha S, R&D Dean, Prof. Thanuj Kumar M, Cultural head, Prof. Radhakrishna R K, Sports head and Mr Rakhal P, Physical Education Director inaugurated the function offline maintaining SOP by lighting the Lamp.
Prof. Radhakrishna R K hosted the function and welcomed the guests and audiences. Dr. T. Chandrashekar, Principal briefed about the importance of yoga for peace and harmony in day to day life.
Many Participants learnt pranayama, yoga asans and yoga exercises tp make their immune system strong and fight against Corona and other diseases. Function ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Thanuj Kumar M. and Prof. Radhakrishna R.K.
