As part of an enriching industry visit to the ABB Smart Factory in Bengaluru, organized by the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), participants were given a unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge advancements in smart manufacturing. The visit offered invaluable technical exposure to Industry 4.0 paradigms, including automation, data exchange, IoT-enabled devices, and cyber-physical systems in a real-world industrial environment. A significant focus was also placed on the emerging transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, emphasizing human-centric innovation, intelligent manufacturing systems, and collaborative robotics (cobots) that enhance synergy between human intelligence and machine efficiency. This event was conducted under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and was aimed at creating awareness among students about real-time cybersecurity issues and threats in the digital era.
