Current Role: Associate Professor, Department of Robotics and Automation, and Dean Associate – Student Affairs, at Rajarajeswari College of Engineering (RRCE), Bengaluru Dr. Thanuj Kumar M. has been with RRCE since 2010, starting out in the Department of Mechanical Engineering before moving to the Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering. Across academia, research, and industry, he brings 24 years of combined experience. His subject expertise spans Elements of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Processes, Smart Materials, Mechatronics, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics Materials and Fabrication, Computer-Aided Engineering Drawing (CAED), Total Quality Management, Engineering Economics, Computer-Aided Machine Design, and Foundry Technology.

Dr. Thanuj Kumar M. completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology in 2002, and earned his Master of Technology in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramnagaram in 2007. He was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi in 2024.

Over the course of his career, he has organized and led a wide range of academic and professional activities at RRCE, including 6 national and 2 international conferences, 10 industrial visits, 10 technical/pre-placement seminars, 6 Faculty Development Programmes, 5 workshops, and 10 orientation programmes.
