Brief Profile

Dr. K. C Vishwanath is currently serving as Professor and Dean Associate – IQAC in the Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering at RajaRajeswari College of Engineering (RRCE), Bengaluru. He has been associated with the institution since 2013, initially serving in the Department of Mechanical Engineering before joining the Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering.

He possesses 16 years of combined experience in academics, research, and industry. His areas of expertise include Fundamentals of Robotics and Automation, Robot Mechanics and Control, Computer-Aided Engineering Drawing (CAED), Theory of Elasticity, Theory of Plasticity, Experimental Stress Analysis, Design of Machine Elements, Tribology, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Foundry Technology, and Mechatronics.

Dr.K.C Vishwanath completed his Diploma from VISSJ Government Polytechnic in 2006, obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree from SJC Institute of Technology (SJCIT), Chickballapur in 2010, and earned his Master of Technology in Machine Design from Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bengaluru in 2013. He was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi in 2018.

Throughout his academic career, he has actively contributed to organizing and coordinating numerous academic and professional development activities. He has successfully coordinated 5 National Conferences, 20 Industrial Visits, 20 Technical Seminars, 20 Faculty Development
Programmes (FDPs), 10 Workshops, and 10 Orientation Programmes at RRCE.

His research contributions include the publication of 14 papers in National and International Conference Proceedings and 28 papers in reputed International Journals. He has published 4 patents, all of which 4 have been granted, and has also authored 3 books/book chapters.

Dr.K.C Vishwanath has secured research grants amounting to ₹3.58 lakhs from various Government and Non-Government funding agencies. He has successfully guided 20 undergraduate (UG) projects and is currently supervising five Ph.D. research scholars under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.

In addition, he has developed comprehensive Laboratory Manuals for the Design Laboratory, Robot Programming and Simulation Laboratory, and the Centre of Excellence, significantly contributing to laboratory instruction and outcome-based engineering education.

Dr. K. C. Vishwanath is an active Life Member of several prestigious professional and technical societies, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence, research, and professional development. His memberships include:
