Brief Profile

Dr. Satheesha V have been dedicatedly discharging his responsibilities to the best of his capabilities in the position of Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering from 03-02-2014 to 31-05-2019. He has been promoted as Associate Professor from 01.06.2019. He earned his B.E in Automobile Engineering from PES College of Engineering, Mandya and M.E in Thermal science and Engineering from UVCE, Bengaluru. He has been awarded Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering in the research area of Heat transfer and Fluid flow from Bangalore University under the guidance of Dr. B. K. Muralidhara, Professor (Retd.), UVCE, Bengaluru during the month of March 2019. Previously he worked 2 years in PES University, Bengaluru as Assistant Professor. He has total 9 years of teaching experience and 1 year as Project Assistant in Spray and Droplets Dynamics laboratory, Aerospace Department, IISc, Bengaluru. He has expert knowledge in Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Automobile Engineering. His research area is “Studies on Flow and Heat transfer during air jet impingement on Curved surfaces”. He has presented six research papers in International Conferences and published six papers in peer reviewed International Journals and given one invited lecture at BNMIT, Bengaluru. Recently presented paper in 24th National and 2nd International ISHMT-ASTFE Heat and Mass Transfer Conference on December 27-30, 2017, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad and coordinated one TEQUIP sponsored FDP program at PESU.

He has taken initiative to setup a “TOYOTA Center of Excellence” in the Department of Mechanical Engineering during the Academic year 2019-2020.
