Experienced Academic Leader, 36 Years in Teaching, Research & Curriculum Development, Visionary in Institute and Management Level Administration, Proficiency in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, and Research Initiatives, Instrumental in Achieving Outcome Based Education & NBA, NAAC, NIRF & QS I – Gauge. Dr. J. Prakash is the Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Rajarajeswari College of Engineering, Bengaluru. He superannuated as Principal of Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bengaluru, after a distinguished academic career spanning over three decades. His professional experience includes serving as Principal, Vice Principal, Professor and Head of the Information Science and Engineering Department at BIT, as well as earlier teaching positions at BIT and Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikmagalur. Dr. J. Prakash obtained his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Mysore in 1988, his M.Tech. from the University of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 1995, and his Ph.D. in Digital Image Processing from Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in 2010. Since 1988, he has been actively engaged in teaching, research, academics, and administration. He has also guided and awarded Ph.D degree under VTU for seven research scholars. He has involved in many real time projects, which have been recognized both in the international and national level. He has 35 international peer reviewed Journal and 05 International conference publications in his credit. He has visited many countries to present his research publications. Presently he is associated with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) as National Executive council member, New Delhi. He has more than 36 years of teaching and research experience involved with various academic and administrative activities in many Institutions and Universities of India and abroad.
