About the Club

The Volthub is a vibrant and innovation-driven technical club of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department at RajaRajeswari College of Engineering. It serves as a strong foundation for students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical expertise by engaging in hands-on learning, experimentation, and real-world problem-solving.
The club is built on the vision of nurturing technically skilled and industry-ready engineers. It provides an environment where students are encouraged to explore core and emerging areas of electronics such as analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), communication technologies, and hardware-software integration. By working directly with components, microcontrollers, sensors, and development boards, students gain a deeper understanding of how electronic systems function in real-life applications.
One of the key strengths of The Volthub is its focus on experiential learning. Rather than limiting knowledge to textbooks, the club promotes a “learn by doing” approach. Students actively participate in building prototypes, troubleshooting circuits, and developing innovative solutions to practical challenges. This not only enhances their technical skills but also boosts their confidence in handling complex engineering problems.
The club regularly organizes a variety of activities such as technical workshops, guest lectures, hackathons, design challenges, and project exhibitions. These initiatives create opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and collaboration, where students from different academic levels share ideas, mentors each other, and work as teams. Such collaborative efforts help in developing essential soft skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork alongside technical competence.

Prof. M. Suresh is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the School of Electronics, Electrical and Biomedical Technology at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (Deemed to be University), Tamil Nadu, India, with a specialization in medical image processing, focusing on tuberculosis detection using deep learning methods. He is also serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at RajaRajeswari College of Engineering, Bangalore, where he has over ten years of teaching and academic experience.

He obtained his M.E. degree from PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, affiliated with Anna University, and his B.E. degree from Bharath Niketan Engineering College, Theni, also affiliated with Anna University. With a strong academic and professional background in electronics and communication engineering, his work integrates medical imaging, deep learning architectures, and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques for reliable and interpretable healthcare applications.
