The 5-Day FDP was inaugurated by Principal Dr. R. Balakrishna, in the presence of Dr. Satheesha V (HoD – Robotics & Automation), Dr. Rangaiah (Dean Academics), and Dr. Manjunath (Dean R&D).
Session 1:
Dr. Thanuj Kumar introduced the fundamentals of Engineering Graphics and gave an overview of Solid Edge V20 software.
Session 2:
Dr. Srinivasalu Reddy N conducted an in-depth session on Projection of Points, Lines, and Planes.
Day 2 – Faculty Development Program (FDP)

On the second day of the FDP, the forenoon session was conducted by Dr. Srinivasalu Reddy N., who delivered an in-depth lecture on Projection of Points and Lines. The session focused on structured problem-solving strategies and identifying efficient solutions.
In the afternoon, Dr. Thanuj Kumar M. led an insightful session on Projection of Planes. His engaging delivery and practical tips on solving complex graphical problems captivated the participants.
Both sessions were well-received and added great value to the participants’ teaching and technical competencies.
Day 3 Highlights – Faculty Development Program at
The Department of Robotics and Automation is conducting a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Fundamentals of Engineering Graphics and Altair HyperWorks” from July 21 to 25, 2025.
Day 3 – July 23, 2025
Forenoon Session:
Dr. Thanuj Kumar M introduced participants to the concepts of Projection of Planes and Solids, followed by an engaging hands-on training session using Solid Edge software.
Afternoon Session:
Dr. Srinivasalu Reddy N. led a comprehensive session on solving solid geometry problems using Solid Edge, providing valuable insights and practical approaches.
Both sessions were interactive, insightful, and highly appreciated by all participants, contributing significantly to their academic and practical understanding.
Day 4
Date : 24th July 2025
The day featured engaging sessions by Dr. Vishwanath K. C., who delivered a detailed lecture on Isometric Projections during the forenoon (FN) session. In the afternoon (AN), he introduced the concept of Development of Solids, guiding participants through key aspects of the topic.
Both sessions incorporated hands-on training using Solid Edge software, allowing attendees to gain practical exposure and enhance their understanding of the discussed engineering concepts.
Day 5 Highlights – 25th July 2025
The final session was delivered by Dr. Radhakrishna R K, who provided an in-depth overview of Altair HyperWorks. The participants were engaged in hands-on training, gaining valuable practical experience in simulation-driven design using the software tools discussed throughout the program.
This session enabled faculty members to enhance their technical teaching capabilities and stay aligned with modern Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) practices.
The department thanks all the participants for their active involvement and contributions to making this FDP a success.
