Dr. K B Raja
Dr. K B Raja is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 38 years of teaching experience, having served as a Professor and Chairman in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at UVCE, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in
Computer Science and Engineering from Bangalore University (2007), an M.E. in ECE from UVCE, Bangalore University (2002), and a B.E. in ECE from UVCE, Bangalore University (1983). His prolific research focuses on image processing, biometrics, and VLSI signal processing, and he has an impressive publication record of 243 research papers, including 132 international journal articles and 111 international conference presentations. His research work has garnered over 2,649 citations, with an h-index of 24 and an i10-index of 70. He has supervised 20 Ph.D. scholars to completion and currently mentors 2 more at Bangalore University.
He has held significant administrative roles, including serving as Placement Officer at UVCE, Bengaluru, where he achieved 100% placement for eligible students, and as a member of key academic and accreditation bodies, such as the NAAC Peer Team and the VTU Academic Senate. He is recognized with multiple awards, including Best Paper awards at IEEE conferences in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and London. He has also been honored with the PRCI Samvahana Award for Educational Excellence.
