Brief Profile

Dr.C Ramesh is currently working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He started his teaching career as a Lecturer in 2003 and has 18 years of teaching, and research experience and 5 years of industry experience. He has served a few reputed engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu and presently in Bangalore, Karnataka. He completed his Ph.D. in the field of Mechanical Engineering at Satyabama University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu in the year 2018. M.E. Degree, specialization in Computer Aided Design in 2005 from Satyabama University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his B.E. degree from the University of Madras in Mechanical Engineering, during the year 2000 from Priyadharshini Engineering College, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering during the year 1995 from Pandian Polytechnic, Tamil Nadu. In his career, he has published 10 research papers (04 – International Journal, 04 – International Conference, 02 -National Conference). He contributed academic excellence by way of organizing and conducting 1 International Conference, 2 National Conferences, 08 – National level workshops, 21 – Seminars, 7 – Faculty Development programs, 20 -Expert lecturers in various domains of Mechanical Engineering and organized many industrial visits during each semester of the academic year. He has guided 24 + UG and 01 PG during the academic project works. He has guided to establish “Centre of Excellence” in the field of Automobile Engineering sponsored and supported by M/s TOYOTA Kiroloskar, Bengaluru. He has guided the faculty member to apply for various funding agencies like KSCST, VGST, AICTE – MODROBS, STTP, FDP, etc, and obtained a total amount around Rs.16 Lakhs.
